I recently had the good fortune of working at one of LaRondas retreats in the Oregon wilderness. The setting was breathtaking, the place we stayed perfect for our needs and I greatly admire the kind & calm way LaRonda facilitated the weekend. She created a space where everyone has a chance to share and everyone listened respectively to each other’s situations and process. We had wonderful contemplative walks in an old growth forest. We had escapades on the coast and with waterfalls. We each were nourished to our individual dietary specifications.
we were encouraged in reflection, journaling, sharing and self care.
The best thing for me was everything was in ASL and so I could easily follow along. I would highly recommend this for anyone needing to recharge, relax, take time away to care for their own needs and be supported and encouraged.

LaRonda is an awesome coach! She gave me the tools to put my words into visuals and help me review my journey. She taught me that life is always changing and there will be more challenges to face. I just have to remember to keep moving forward.  Her "training" are still active in my life and has frequently referred back to my binder for reinforcement.   I appreciated how LaRonda was able to patiently to listen to me sharing my story, followed by many words of wisdom and insight on her end.

I feel like I am seed and Coach LaRonda is the water. All I needed was someone to pour water on me and now my ideas and plans are just growing!!! I am so happy and kind of relieved to have a clear focus and purpose. I felt so lost before. But now, I know what I really want to do now and that feels so good! I loved how LaRonda set the up the atmosphere at the Sisterhood Playshop retreat. It was all in red and pink colors and so relaxing in embracing sisterhood.  The art therapy was therapeutic and fun to do.  Everyone had their own creation and it was nice to hear how and why they drew what they did and what it represents to them.  It was an About Me day and left feeling energized.

I was at a crossroads with my career and had a lot of indecision about what to do next. In just a few individual sessions, LaRonda was able to help me create a Purpose Clarity Statement, which allowed me get an eagle's-eye focus on my career goals and values. I had several follow-up life-coaching sessions with LaRonda and each time walked away with a feeling of peace and confidence. I recently attended a World Labyrinth Day, with LaRonda co-facilitating with another person. My first impression of LaRonda is of a gentle, kind nature. She clearly explained the Labyrinth guidelines for all of us to experience. There was an ASL interpreter there as well. After the walk, a traveling drumming group drew some of us deafies in. I was welcomed i to the group and started drumming and awakening the vibrstional senses. It was an exhilarsting experience and a random one too.

LaRonda was an easy person to talk with as we went over the process of Purpose Clarity. She made things simple and was friendly when talking on VP. I would recommend her coaching to any friend and encourage them to take her Purpose Clarity program or attend her retreats. We do need more Deaf leaders like LaRonda in this field.

Turtle Hearts Coaching and Retreats is a life coaching business.  It is ASL-based.   However, the life coach is willing to work with hearing clients via interpreters.

After discovering that I had a strong "Inner Critic",  I decided to have Self-Love Coaching from LaRonda via VP (Video Phone).  Through steps, I learned to trust and appreciate myself.  Since the sessions, I have been continuously positive in my surroundings and about myself. Self-Love Coaching with LaRonda was great!

For quite some time now I had been wanting to take a new direction in life career wise. I wanted to feel fulfilled and have some thing that drove me with purpose. Through a frank discussion over this with a dear friend, she suggested I give Purpose Clarity a shot. Long story short, I did. I admit, I was skeptical at first since this was all new to me. Session after session things started to become clear honing in on my "themes", I began to see my true calling. I started Purpose Clarity knowing only that I wanted to help people and by the end; through "Synthesizing" and much Growth-work, I now see what my vision for helping people finally looks like. Thanks to LaRonda, I feel confident knowing the steps I need to take to become a Grief Counselor.

Really enjoyed the retreat I attended which was hosted by a Deaf life coach who is fluent in ASL. The theme was perfectly aligned with the seasons and what I was going through in the Fall. I really appreciated the visual aspect of LaRonda's lessons which helped me to see my life in relation to nature. It was a very grounding experience that left me feeling inspired and renewed!

This was a gathering customized by LaRonda for our journeys. She chose Seasons of Change as the theme to search for direction during the transition. An important part of this gathering for me was when she presented a couple of visually memorable nature-focused metaphors to identify where we've been, where we are and where we are going. It was a great reflection of the transition. If you or your group wish to process how to “go with the flow” without time restrictions, this might not be for you — unless you request for flexibility in the agenda with LaRonda. My only recommendation is for her not to sign and read at the same time, which she did occasionally, as it creates a sense of disconnection fro me.
Other than that, her creating a space to use ASL as a communication form is a full go!

I wasn't sure if life coaching was what I needed to help me reach my goals, but after only five sessions of working with LaRonda, a powerful transformation is taking place in my career. It’s even better that we communicate in ASL via videophones, which makes it so much more convenient for me. She is very flexible and can work around your schedule. More importantly, LaRonda's guidance, support and honest feedback are teaching me to embrace my unique approach to life and live in a way that truly brings me joy. I would recommend her services to anyone, especially in the Deaf community, who is looking for a way to find life paths that are exciting and meaningful to them.

Earlier this afternoon, I attended a mini-retreat hosted by LaRonda Zupp, a Master Certified Retreat Coach.  The experience was a enlightening one and I enjoyed myself.  In fact, I walked away feeling relaxed and refreshed.

I feel quite lucky to have won a certificate for the free mini-retreat when I sat at the right table during DeafHope's annual Tea Party on September 29, 2013.
