Bastille Cafe & Bar

The staff presented themselves very well and proved to be well knowledgeable about their menu. The waiter easily provided paper and pen, and he did not let that stop him from have a normal type of conversation. Usually at other places, they are nervous and keep it limited to... (ahem) a limited amount of words. This one? He spoke openly via paper and pen and did a very good job! Great food, very nice atmosphere. I'd go back!

Very friendly staff and great French food!  You must try their absinthe - the best in town!

The atmosphere is great. The food is the best!  On my birthday, we had a big party of 15 people.  It was getting dark.  They were kind enough to bring more candles so we could see as we sign to each other.

My boyfriend and I went to Bastille Cafe & Bar few weeks ago. We had fantastic experience at this restaurant. We were at Ballard Farmer Market and decided to stop at this restaurant to for lunch. After we got table, the waitress somehow already figured out that I am deaf since we were signing to each other. The waitress I think her name was Kristian, was really thoughtful and slow down when she explains about the specials they had on that day and also very patience with us when we ask questions about some food on the menu. After we received our dishes and she checked on us to make sure everything is all right. She has great attitudes. The food were unbelievable delicious!!! One of best french restaurants ever I been to. After paid the bill and tip, she signed "Thank you". Great job, Kristian! Can't wait to come back soon! :)
