I had a mixed experience at this hotel. First, when I checked in, the front desk clerk was very friendly and willing to communicate using pen and paper. However, when I asked for a room that had an ADA kit, she had no idea what I meant. She had to call a supervisor who explained. While they did have a tablet in the room for ordering room service such as food, there was no way for communicate directly with the front desk or other departments other than a group of specific options. For example, I couldn't get more hangers sent up or ask the concierge questions. There should be an option to add notes or questions to allow Deaf and hard of hearing guests communicate their individual needs better. The room had closed caption... and I did get the door knocker out of the ADA kit which was very useful to me. I would suggest that this hotel look into getting their ADA kit updated. The TTY is a very old piece of technology that many of us no longer use. Upgrade to a video phone would be more accommodating to the signing Deaf guest. I did appreciate the free Wifi however, which allowed me to place my calls on my personal laptop.
