CLIP Interpreting

Description

CLIP interpreting prides itself on being a small company of highly dedicated highly qualified interpreters. Our small size allows us to be selective in our hiring process thus boosting our pool of talent. At the same our low overhead and streamlined scheduling processes keep prices low ensuring our customers receive the highest-quality and most cost-effective services available.

There are very few interpreting agencies that can claim to hire only certified interpreters. Lawyers cannot practice without passing the bar, doctors cannot practice without going through medical school and at CLIP we believe that interpreters should not accept jobs without being certified. CLIP carries a staff of only 100% nationally certified interpreters.

We have proven our passion for the Deaf community time and time again through our volunteerism and support for the community in which we have family and friends. At CLIP we are dedicated to increasing accessibility, communication, and independence of a community who we love.

I have employed their interpreters during my training stay at corporate headquarters of my business. At least three, if not four, interpreters were provided by CLIP and each of them have done fantastic. The owners is a real nice, friendly couple who are interpreters themselves and understand the interpreting needs that the Deaf community has. Good job, CLIP!

When I hired an interpreter from CLIP, I was able to work with them well and easily communicate through ASL. They made the task of translating my first language of ASL to a hearing person's first language of English seem much easier. This was due to the fact that CLIP's interpreting was able to successfully translate and share my interpretations of my artworks with a hearing audience.

CLIP Interpreting is one of best interpreting agencies I have ever worked with. They often have my back for various situations. They advocated me when I had to jump through hoops to get interpreters for things such as my doctor appointments. They also sponsor several Deaf events/activities, including those at school for the deaf. CLIP is not just an interpreting agency, but it is a bridge between hearing world and deaf world. Thank you for being more than stellar interpreting agency.

I have experienced CLIP'S interpreting services in both my personal and professional life. The interpreters are on time, professionally dressed, maintain confidentiality, and are flexible. The customer service when requesting an interpreter is a friendly, easy process. Thanks to CLIP'S #deafheart project, I was able to have an interpreter for my son's end of season football awards and experience the kind words the coach has to say about my son. CLIP gives back to the community in a big way by providing legal certification testing to interpreters, hosting a "Deaf Dare" event, and providing interpreting services for funerals (to name a few!)

When my mother passed away unexpectedly, my family and I found ourselves in a world of grief and frantic planning. Who knew arranging funerals out-of-state was so much work? To top it all off, I had to think about how to ensure that the celebration of Mom's life was accessible in a multi-language setting. Through word of mouth, friends offering to network and post to RID pages, calls to three different interpreting agencies, etc. only one solid lead for pro bono funeral interpreting came up: CLIP Interpreting. Their scheduler, Jen, managed to put me in touch with interpreter Kyla despite my near-last-minute request. Though I made a small typo in the address resulting in Kyla showing up at the wrong destination(s) initially, she never gave up on me and eventually found our gravesite during eulogies.

I will forever be grateful for the kindness of CLIP's #deafheart Project (check it out on their site soon!), which enabled me to have access to some portions of the funeral.

Thank you, CLIP, for being there during one of the darkest weeks of my life.

I used CLIP Interpreting service for the first time for my meeting last week.  One of their interpreters, Kim W. were great and professional!

CLIP is a great agency that meets my needs at school, work, and for the various meetings and events I attend.  Their quality staff of knowledgeable professionals take their responsibilities seriously.  I appreciate their professionalism and their ability to match their interpreters to my communication needs.  I highly recommend them to anyone needing interpreting services.

I have been using CLIP service for both my work and personal life. CLIP is a professional, high-quality interpreter agency.  CLIP responses quickly and they make sure the requests are filled.  CLIP makes sure the Deaf client gets matched to the right interpreter for his/her language preference. CLIP is also the only NIC testing facility in the whole state of California, so they care about their interpreters as well. CLIP not only focuses on the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Interpreter communities, but when it’s necessary, they will also educate hearing business about how to use interpreters and the laws relating to providing interpreters.

CLIPs focus is not only local San Diego County; they help place interpreters in many different cities and states.  CLIP Interpreting is in the right place to support the everyone in the Deaf, HOH, and Interpreter communities as well as the hearing communities who need to communicate with them.
