Vegetarian- and omnivore-friendly Mexican food is beautifully and blissfully possible at this lovely, colorful Mexican restaurant! For those longing for a refreshing margarita with views of the lake, wanting to nibble on chips and salsa to lounge by the huge windows to appreciate a volleyball game on the beach, or for a fulfilling, healthy meal with table service this restaurant can satisfy your desire. More restaurant-y than Taco del Mar or Chipotle, more casual than Azteca or La Palmera, and more diverse and authentic than Taco Bell or Taco Time, Taco Guaymas. The menu had a wide array of healthy, fresh Mexican options. The northwest inspired seafood items such as Shrimp Salad and Caldo 7 Mares (soup of 7 fishes). Vegetarians will not go hungry: vegetarian salad, quesadilla, burrito, and chile relleno are available. Meat options abound for tacos, beef tongue for the adventurous! My vegetarian salad was divine: refreshing, fulfilling, and flavorful. My cohort's Cod Super Quesadilla was thick with cheese and tender fish (free of bones). A salsa bar will aide any lackluster dish, if desired.
The wonderful server, Angel, was kind enough to notice my cohort's limited balance and physical stamina to allow us our choice of table and to take our order at the table (it was nearest the counter, but he insisted on coming to us!!!). Angel was great, he patiently explained the Spanish/Mexican menu items and explained the difference and superiority of their restaurant than other 'Mexican-American' restaurants.
The northwest is littered with taco trucks and Mexican/Latin restaurants, but the endless options and fresh, healthy flavors will drive me here instead.
