When I called this business to make reservations, I half expected to be hung up on. Instead, this business accepted my relay call. Score! Rahman was our server and he was so friendly and proactive wth us. He used a mix of gestures, writing back and forth and accepted our pointing to the menu. I really appreciated his friendliness and ease. Oh! And the captions were on in the bar!! The only suggestion I have would be to learn a bit of sign language. Thank you Chutneys for making our night out one to remember!
I went to Chutney's Bistro yesterday with my good friend for lunch. The waitress quickly acknowledged that both of us are deaf because we were signing to each other and approached us then gestured us to let us know if we are ready to order. She was very patient and thoughtful when we pointed our menus to let her know what we wanted. She got it right every time we need something. We appreciate this excellent service. The food were unbelievable delicious! You guys should try this great Indian restaurant! Keep it up great job, Chutney's! :)
I don't normally go to Wallingford for Indian food, but this place was a central location to meet a friend. Our waitress was very patient with us, accepted our gestures and hand-pointing and politely tried to gesture herself. She was very easy to communicate with and non-awkward. I'm kind of picky about Indian food and this place was GREAT! Deaf-friendly bonus, they have on-line ordering!!
